Every once in a while, but not often enough, the need to finish projects is just overwhelming. This past weekend was just one of those whiles.
1. It started with a pile of mending that's been sitting un-mended for ages. Gone. No pictures -- there's nothing exciting about that!
2. Since March is now half over, we needed more action (less talk) on our SAM5 March socks. And now sock 1 is done (except for the final joining). Sock 2 will be on the needles today. The utilitarian pattern really goes fast once it's going.
3. And the To Be Felted bag -- in progress since late Jan -- is an AFO (almost finished object). All the knitting is done, though I'm not sure the i-cord strap is long enough (but I ran out of yarn). This is courtesy of the NCIS marathon on TV. Love that show. The unfelted size is 17 3/4 inches across by 17 1/2 inches tall by 7 1/4 inches deep. Have to take it to the laundromat to use a top loader for felting. Can't wait to see how much it shrinks up. I may have to use a contrasting color and make a new shoulder strap if it's too short.
After that frenzy, I cast on two new projects. There's pressure to finish those (or make good progress) before the Mystic Light shawl knit along starts on 26 Mar.
