I've Got the Blues

Not really! Spring is on the way and I finished my SAM5 March socks (they're what's blue).
Crocuses are the first flowers of spring here. These tiny ones are very close to the house where it's a little warmer/sheltered. Seeing them means the rest of the flowers can't be too far off.
It took about a month to finish the March SAM5 socks -- cast on to cast off. They were a much faster knit than that -- it's the multi-project-tasking that slows everything down. But that's better than burning out on an individual project. These are Priscilla's Dream Socks from Interweave Knits Favorite Socks book. Knit in Kroy Socks yarn, color Winter Eclipse. My first short row heels. They're quite warm and fit very well. The cast off seam is a little funky, but very decorative!

It's always so exciting when the first crocuses pop through!! I wish they'd grow in my yard, but they never do (someone told me squirrels like to dig up and eat the bulbs, and my guess is that's what has been happening). Hurray for getting those March socks finished. They look very cozy.

Happy Spring!

The socks are very cute! Sad to say, I'm a SAM drop out this round--just couldn't keep up. :(
