Every summer we put our indoor plants outside for some sun and fresh air. This results in a lot of buds on the Christmas cactuses, which then bloom quite early (thus becoming Thanksgiving cactuses). It's unfortunate that they need to go on top of the china cabinet to be safe from the furry munch-master.
