A Trip to the Laundromat

I went to the laundromat today to use their jumbo washers for a quilt and a top-loader to felt the To Be Felted Bag. It's a nice laundromat -- very large and always staffed with people cleaning and taking care of everything. They have really interesting displays of old laundry equipment as well as vintage quilts hanging on the walls. How did they get the washers up to the second floor level? Can you see the reflection of the washers in the plexiglass covering the quilt?

The felted bag really did shrink up as advertised. Here is it drying. Unfortunately, as feared, the i-cord straps are too short for handles. So I need to make new ones. The question is whether to break out a whole new skein of yarn for the handles or use a coordinating color.

Bmom, that bag is awesome. You can use it to tote your knitting with you the next time you go to the cool laundry mat. I've never heard of a "cool" one like the one you described. :)
