Back on the Wagon

Last month I fell off the sock knitting wagon. Knitting with black yarn proved too difficult for these tired old eyes and I just wasn't loving the result -- so poof, they're history. I think I might use that black for some heels and toes -- if I can find some comparable and coordinating yarn for the feet and legs, that is.

The sock yarn stash is pretty meager, but I did have some Knit Picks Essential in Dune Twist (it was on clearance). This didn't work out so well on a highly patterned sock, but was fine for the simple Garter Rib from Charlene Schurch (Sensational Knitted Socks). These are soft and toasty, perfect for the winter.
