Just yesterday we looked at the zucchini and thought we'd give one "just one more day." Big mistake -- it's like a baseball bat now. Too bad it's so hot and humid -- I'd love to make some zucchini bread but can't bring myself to turn the oven on.
Today we picked our first green beans, a jalapeno pepper, and a carrot. The five cucumbers are just from today -- there are lots more on the vines. Pickles anyone?
Finally, our lilies have grown taller than I am -- they're enormous and absolutely beautiful.
