It's Fall

One of the true signs of fall (not counting the garden after the second frost) is our fall-blooming clematis. The original died a few years ago -- so we planted another just like it. It's loaded with flowers and, on a sunny day, loaded with bees. Eventually it will cover the light -- and there will be an odd glow emanating from the mass of greens.

I finished knitting the baby sweater that I started last week.....but no buttons yet (it's Boheme). Today I tried to "kill" the acrylic yarn. Following instructions I found online, I pinned it out, then steamed and steamed it. We'll see if it works -- and if the sweater remains soft and permanently blocked into shape. It doesn't look promising right now.
