Meet the Lambs 2010

Today we went to Shelburne MA to visit Springdelle Farm, home of Foxfire Fiber and Designs. It was "Meet the Lambs" Day. There's nothing like meeting the source of your fiber and yarn!

I've been reading Barb's blog for some time now and I've developed a serious crush on Crackerjack, guardian of the lambs. To me he's a romantic hero, just like Mr. Darcy in Pride and Prejudice. He looks especially handsome in his freshly-shorn state.

For sheer cuteness, you can't beat the bottle lambs. They think they're house cats/dogs -- to the point of sitting on your lap [think 50 pound lap-lamb]. On the left is Mistral, on the right, Georgia. They're actually looking very sheep-like in these pictures. In real life, they're anything but.
