**** Ice Dams

There's been so much snow and it's been so cold that ice dams have been a real problem this year. We've had them in the past and it's never, ever good. Yesterday I was in the dining room opening the shades for Camellia to look out and looked up, only to see the dreaded water spots. At least there were only spots and not dripping water (been there, too). [This is looking up at the tray-style ceiling.]

So out we went to chop, chop, chop the ice away. And shovel as much snow off the roof as we could. There comes a point in one's life where climbing out a second story window to shovel snow off a roof seems crazy.

Ugh! We've got ice dams too. The landlord was being really good about coming over to rake the roof but she didn't do anything after the last snow. I'm waiting to see if the the leaking in the craft room starts again!
