It's a Miracle

One of the most amazing things about knitting is the incredible difference blocking can make to a finished project. Blocking is the process of wetting, stretching an item into shape (holding it there with lots of rods/pins), then allowing it to dry -- thereby setting the shape. Remember the Mystic Meadows shawl in my last post? It was a big blue blob of yarn. And now......

Obviously the lower section is leaves; the middle section is flowers and the upper is butterflies -- just like a meadow. The finished size is 20 inches by 60 inches -- perfect for throwing over my shoulders when it's chilly.
