Arghhhhhhh!

I was wearing my Slow Bee Mystery I shawl yesterday -- it's perfect for crisp spring days. [And while it's totally dorky, I love it when strangers come up and ask me about something I've made.]

Anyways......I jumped out of the car and slammed the door shut -- only to discover the shawl had caught in my seat belt and was then caught in the door.....leaving a black grease stain. Arghhhhhh. I soaked the spot in some dishwashing soap and tried to dab/rub it out gently.....there's still a hint of the grease, but the yarn was starting to felt so it was time to call it done. The pattern is busy enough so that it doesn't just jump out at you when worn. Sigh -- I hate it when I do careless things.

OH NO!!!!! This story HURTS!!! Although it looks barely noticeable. If I hadn't known to look for it, I don't think I would have seen it. But I'm sure the fact that you know it's there makes it just as bad as if it was very noticeable.

Yeah, you really have to look for it. I'm sure over time the stain will work itself out in future soaks. I snag my lace with my engagement ring, so I stopped wearing it! Priorities!!!
